Paws for the News - Horses almost killed by impatient motorists
Paws for the News Exclusive ? Horses Almost Killed by Impatient MotoristsSunday March 10, 2013 ? Horses escaped a barn near Gravenhurst, ON and stroll down Hwy 11 Southbound.
Impatient Motorists had no regard for the welfare and well-being of these Horses.
Host Carl Milson and Shane Carr slowed traffic down to a crawl on the busy hwy so a fatality wouldn?t occur with either the horses or the impatient motorists swerving to miss the horses.
I?m not sure what is wrong with people today, states Carl. Why couldn?t people help with the situation rather than have no regard for the safety of these animals.
Carl Milson jumped out of the vehicle with his dog?s Angelica?s Leash to wrap it around the neck of one of the horses.
Intuitively he thought that if he could hold onto one horse the others would also stop.
Carl was right and other motorists than came to the rescue to walk the horses off the Hwy to the next exit of Southwood/Hwy 11.
Traffic was backed up for more than an hour
Within about 45 minutes the owners arrived and were thankful their horses were uninjured.
Please take the survey on the front page right side panel and let us know if the Motorists could have done more.
