Crock-Pot Steelcut Oats

Crock-Pot Steelcut Oats

Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We couldn?t agree more. But who has the time? Here?s a trick to make sure your breakfast is ready and waiting when you are. So what?s for breakfast? Crock-Pot Steel Cut Oats!

If you?re like me and enjoy steel cut oats but can?t get up earlier enough to have them made in time, simply stick the following in your crock-pot the night before and voila, 10 hours later, breakfast is served.

Ingredients
1 cup Anita?s Organic Mill Steel Cut Oats (from Chilliwack)
3 cups cold water

Method

  • Place Anita?s Organic Mill Steel Cut Oats in crock-pot.
  • Cover with water.
  • Put crock-pot lid on and set crock-pot to cook for 10 hours on low.

We served ours with 1/4 cup Olympic Greek-style Yogurt?and 2 tbsp Holy Crap cereal. If you have any fresh fruit on hand, just slice and serve. Yum yum! We guarantee your tummy will be full, you mind will be sharp and your energy will be high.

Power up!
