Correction: Texas Heat-Records (AP)

DALLAS ? In stories on Sept. 13-14 about heat records in Texas cities, The Associated Press, relying on information from the National Weather Service, reported erroneously that Wichita Falls was the first Texas city to have 100 days of triple-digit temperatures in the same year. Laredo has had 115 days of 100-degree temperatures in 2011 and previously surpassed 100 days in 1998 and 1989.
