Are you surviving winter?? Our weather here is so fickle so we usually layer in the morning with jacket, hat and scarf but by noon that has all been put away and then 3 o?clock hits and we are frantically looking for that?jacket.
We had an old sweater lying around that we couldn?t donate because it had a hole.?I hate to give?clothes away that is damaged so?I kept it?just in case I figured out how to repurpose it.??Plus, I had a hard time parting?with it because?I loved how handsome my man looked in it and now my?little man?will get?to wear it as a hat!
Trendy Fair Isle mens sweater refashioned into an adorable cap. My husband is a?big?man but lean, so I probably could?have made?ten of these caps from his sweater.
To make a girl hat it?s the similar process explained below but without the visor. Carla Ackermann our contributing photographer shared her recycled sweater girl hat with us. I love the colors she chose. She will be sharing with us in the next following weeks more recycled sweater projects: home decor, fashion and toy. If you can?t wait stop by the?Celebrating Fall issue they were all featured there.
How I did it:
It was really easy and I was done in under 20 minutes!
