Getting Access To The Organic Coffee | Wine Merchants

In order for coffee to be considered organic, it must be grown and produced exclusively without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. This is not only safer for the farmers and the environment, but it is also much healthier for you. Obviously, it is not beneficial for you to drink a cup of coffee that contains such hazardous chemicals. It is also detrimental to the environment. Click here to read more about food and drinks.

The growing methods and farming practices are strictly monitored when it comes to certified organic coffee. While other conventional coffee farmers will cut down trees in order to plant their crops, organic farmers will plant their crops underneath the trees. This is so much better for the rainforest, as well as all of the birds and creatures that live there.

Of course, if those reasons aren?t enough to convince you, consider the superior quality and taste of organic coffee. Due to the fact that it is grown completely naturally, the taste and aroma will always be much better. Those who are true coffee connoisseurs love to drink coffee that has been grown organically, because it is the best tasting coffee that money can buy.

Unfortunately, many people are still under the impression that they will have to pay an arm and a leg to buy organic coffee. It used to be that not only was organic coffee expensive, but it was also fairly difficult to find. However, this is definitely not the case anymore. You can now find online retailers who offer quality coffee that has been organically. Since the demand for organic options has risen so dramatically in recent years, many companies have jumped at the chance to meet this demand. In addition to that, the increasing demand for organic coffee has also brought the prices down significantly. As a matter of fact, you can now find organic coffee that is priced competitively against conventional brands of coffee. This works to everyone?s advantage!

If you are a true coffee lover, you will definitely appreciate the wide variety of coffee that is now available to you online. This is truly the easiest and most convenient way to buy coffee. You can have quality organic and fair trade coffee delivered right to your doorstep! All it takes is just a few clicks, and you never even have to leave the comfort of your own home! Perhaps the biggest benefit to ordering coffee online is that you have easy and fast access to so many different varieties from all around the world!

Stocks set to slip as traders eye Europe

By msnbc.com news services

Stocks are set to slip Wednesday, as rising bond yields for Italy and Spain indicate worsening fears about a spiraling of the euro zone's debt crisis.

Yields on 10-year Spanish bonds moved closer to the 7 percent level which forced other nations in the bloc to seek a bailout and seen as unsustainable by many analysts.

Spain is expected to issue new bonds shortly in an effort to fund its troubled banks despite the increased borrowing costs.

Adding to the concern, Italian 10-year yields topped 6 percent for the first time since January at a bond sale, raising concerns the region is vulnerable to a contagion.

The region's fiscal woes sent the euro to its lowest level in 23 months against the dollar. U.S. equities have been closely tethered to the currency's fortunes, with a 50-day correlation between the euro and the S&P 500 index at 0.91.

In company news, Research In Motion has hired bankers for a far-reaching strategic review and to look for partnerships as the BlackBerry-maker warned it would likely report a shock fiscal first-quarter operating loss.

Apple Inc Chief Executive Tim Cook said technology for televisions was of "intense interest" but stressed the company's efforts would unfold gradually amid speculation the iPad and iPhone maker was on the brink of unveiling a revolutionary iTV.

European shares headed for a third straight month of losses on Wednesday, hit by concern over Spain's struggling banks and the country's rising borrowing costs, with charts pointing to more gloom ahead.

Asian shares slipped as fears about Spain while signs emerged that China may take a cautious stance on economic stimulus.

'Workaholics' Returns With 'Hard-Hitting' Third Season

'The fans can expect whatever they want this season, they're not going to get it,' Anders Holm warns of new season, premiering Tuesday.
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kelly Marino

Comedy Central's truly excellent "Workaholics" makes its fully torqued return Tuesday night (May 29), kicking off its third season with an episode that sees Blake, Adam and 'Ders embark on a "business trip" of a different sort — namely, the kind that involves acid.

As the guys explained to MTV News, that's just the tip of the iceberg for the new season, which sees them taking on tough topics, whether their fans like it or not.

"We're really tackling some hard-hitting issues with the third season," Adam DeVine explained. "Obesity, ways to find drugs ... hygiene is a real issue too."

"The fans can expect whatever they want this season, they're not going to get it," Anders Holm deadpanned. "We're not going to give it to them."

As is the case for a show coming off a breakthrough second season — which saw them steal a dragon statue, terrorize a gated community and make tremendous advances in chewing tobacco on television (and was capped by DeVine's Adam Demamp being named one of MTV's Top 50 TV Characters of 2011) — the "Workaholics" plan to swing for the fences with their new season by totally changing everything you've come to love about the show.

"We're jumping the shark; after the fifth episode, we're going to hire movie stars to play us," DeVine said. "I have Matt Damon, he's gaining 60 pounds. Wilfred Brimley is playing Kyle [Newachek's water-trashy Kyle Hevacheck]. And we just got a really cute-looking cat to play Blake. And 'Ders is no longer on the show at all."

That newfound clout is also evident in a pair of guest stars who will show up later this summer: none other than the Black Keys, who play "ponytailed dirtbags" and who have struck up a rather unlikely — and slightly soul-crushing — friendship with the "Workaholics" crew since filming their cameo.

"We've just sort of stayed in touch, texting and stuff," DeVine said. "It's cool to see their lives. I'll text them and be like, 'Hey, what's up, man?' and they're like, 'Oh, just in Europe. Fifty-thousand people tonight. Pretty crazy.' And I'm like, 'Well, um, we shot a scene in Van Nuys today with 40 dudes my dad's age working lights, and I had a fake erection.' "

Nuclear Tuna Is Hot News, But Not Because It's Going To Make You Sick

A Tokyo sushi restaurant displays blocks of fat meat tuna cut out from a 269kg bluefin tuna. Yoshikazu Tsuno/AFP/Getty Images

A Tokyo sushi restaurant displays blocks of fat meat tuna cut out from a 269kg bluefin tuna.

What snarky headline writer could resist a story about "hot tuna?" Or how about "tuna meltdown?"

Really, it seems just plain daffy to ignore a new study that says some Pacific bluefin tuna picked up traces of radioactive material from the Fukushima nuclear disaster last year and brought it across the Pacific Ocean.

And while, as a rule, we avoid making light of nuclear disasters, the tuna story is actually just plain curious, rather than threatening, once you understand the context.

?

You see, Pacific bluefin tuna spawn off the coast of Japan. They are superb swimmers, so in a few months time, they make it across the Pacific to the coast of Mexico and Southern California to feed ? and then get caught. They are also delicious, pricey and on the verge of population collapse, according to Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.

Last summer, scientists bought 15 of these beautiful fish from the docks in San Diego to check them for contaminants.

Fish do carry contaminants. Most significant from the standpoint of public health is methyl mercury, which is a neurotoxin. It's especially a risk for developing fetuses, which is why the U.S. government urges women of child-bearing age to limit their tuna consumption.

A Pacific bluefin tuna. WorldFish Center/FishBase

A Pacific bluefin tuna.

The researchers are still waiting for their mercury results on this particular batch of fish. But Monday they published other findings in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Sure enough, the tuna from Japan had picked up traces of radioactive cesium, according to Nicholas Fisher and Zofia Baumann at Stony Brook University, and Daniel Madigan at Stanford University, who co-wrote the article.

The cesium was a blend of two different varieties ? cesium-134 and cesium-137. The exact mix of these isotopes creates a signature showing that the radiation came from the multiple meltdowns last March in Fukushima.

Fisher says they weren't actually worried about radioactive cesium as a health risk. They tested the flesh, "mostly just to see if it we could detect it, and we were quite surprised, I must say. We did not expect to see this radioactivity retained by the fish during their trans-Pacific voyage, which we estimates takes from three to four months."

Yes, radiation in seafood seems scary. But here's the catch (if you pardon the expression). Tuna, like every other food on the planet, already contains naturally occurring radiation. It has potassium-40 and polonium-210. It always has and it always will. In addition, seafood in general contains a trace of cesium-137 left over from nuclear weapons testing in the 1950s and 1960s.

So the question is, how much more radiation did these particular tuna fish contain? The answer is: A trivial amount. In fact, radiation from the cesium is 30 times less than the radiation that's already in the fish naturally in the form of potassium-40, according to the research paper. And the natural polonium-210 packs a radiation dose 200 times larger than the dose from the cesium.

Really, the result is a testament to how well scientists can now measure tiny amounts of radiation. And of course it's a remarkable lesson in how wildlife can be traced using accidental "tags" instead of using the labor-intensive plastic ones.

If you are still worried about the cesium from Fukushima, Robert Emery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston says you'd need to eat 2.5 to 4 tons of tuna in a year to get a dose of cesium-137 that exceeds health limits. That's a lot of sushi.

Yes, bluefin is used primarily for sushi. And, much of the Pacific bluefin tuna that's caught off the coast of Mexico and Southern California is shipped right back across the ocean, to be sold at the lucrative seafood markets ? in Japan.

(AP) ? Maria Sharapova won by a score that couldn't be better ? a 6-0, 6-0 "double bagel" romp Tuesday in the first round of the French Open and a step toward a possible career Grand Slam.

Sharapova, who lost in this year's Australian Open final, spent little time on the red clay at Roland Garros, completing her rout of Romania's Alexandra Cadantu in 48 minutes. The second-seeded Russian finished with 18 winners to none for Cadantu but had to save three break points.

"No matter how good or bad they're playing, you still have to win that match," Sharapova said. "It's always about who takes their chances."

Earlier, Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova defeated junior Wimbledon champion Ashleigh Barty 6-1, 6-2. After losing the opening game, Kvitova won six straight in the first set against the 16-year-old Australian wild card and again raced through the second set despite being broken once.

"She has a big serve with kicks and good forehand," Kvitova said. "She has very good touch."

The left-handed Czech won her first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon last year, and then won the WTA Championships. Although she has yet to win a title in 2012, she is seeded fourth in Paris and is expected to go deep into the tournament.

"It was tough out there today," Barty said. "I didn't play my best tennis, but she didn't allow me to. I was out there giving it my all, but unfortunately just didn't come out on top today."

Barty is the youngest player in the draw, one of only eight teenagers entered. The oldest player in the draw, 41-year-old Kimiko Date-Krumm of Japan, lost to 2010 French Open champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy 6-3, 6-1.

Sixth-seeded David Ferrer of Spain and No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia advanced in the men's tournament.

Later Tuesday, defending champion Rafael Nadal will begin his quest for a record-breaking seventh title at Roland Garros. On the women's side, 13-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams is to play.

Sharapova has won the other three Grand Slam titles, but she has never reached the final at Roland Garros. Last year, however, she equaled her best result by making the semifinals.

"I feel like with every year I have improved and I enjoy it much more," Sharapova said. "I think I learn a lot more about the game and the point construction. I feel like I'm moving a lot better than I did years previously, which has helped me a lot in the recovery process within the point."

She moved well enough against Cadantu, a 22-year-old making her French Open debut.

"For me, to have that big crowd, it was a lot," Cadantu said after playing on Court Suzanne Lenglen, the second biggest stadium at Roland Garros. "I enjoyed it a lot."

NEW YORK (AP) ? Facebook's stock has fallen below $30 for the first time since its much-awaited public debut this month.

The stock fell $2.40, or nearly 8 percent, to $29.40 in midday trading on Tuesday. That's down 23 percent since its public stock debut. It went as low as $29.23 earlier in the day.

Facebook Inc. began trading publicly on May 18 following one of the most anticipated stock offerings in history.

The site, which was born in a dorm room eight years ago and has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people, was supposed to offer proof that social media is a viable business and more than a passing fad.

Facebook's initial public offering of stock priced at $38 and raised $16 billion for Facebook and some of its early investors. It had valued the company at $104 billion ? more than Amazon.com Inc., at $98 billion, at the time.

But the stock's public debut was marred by technical glitches at the Nasdaq Stock Market that delayed trading.

And the company, along with the investment banks that led the IPO, is the subject of at least two shareholder lawsuits. They allege that analysts at the large underwriting investment banks cut their second-quarter and full-year forecasts for Facebook just before the IPO and told only a handful of clients. Morgan Stanley has declined to comment. Facebook calls the lawsuits "without merit."

With the latest drop, Facebook's value is about $80 billion.

Steven Gerrard says it is clear that Fabio Capello did not have total belief in him as a captain, and is relishing the chance to lead his country out in an official capacity.

Gerrard has skippered the Three Lions in the past but admits it has always felt like he has been standing in for somebody else on a temporary basis.

The Liverpool midfielder believes that shows what Capello thought about his leadership qualities, and he is delighted that new manager Roy Hodgson has handed him the armband.

Hodgson named Gerrard as his captain when he was appointed as Capello's permanent successor and the 31-year-old insists he will feel honoured when England walk out to face Norway in Oslo on Saturday night.

"Capello always had belief in me as a player but it was clear he didn't have total belief for me to be official captain," said Gerrard.

"This manager has come in and done that - it's very nice and good for my confidence and belief.

"I'll do this for as long as the manager wants me to.

Dream

"It feels like the first time I've been official captain. All the other times, I've known the armband was going to go back, either after the tournament or individual games.

"You've got to relish it. It's fantastic. It's something I've always dreamed of. I've been in this set-up for a long time, so I'm big enough to handle this responsibility."

Hodgson says he has no doubts about Gerrard's captaincy credentials after seeing him thrive on the responsibility at Liverpool.

"Working with him for seven months and getting to know his qualities aided me in my decision," said the England manager.

RIM may cut 2,000 plus jobs within two weeks

RIM may cut 2,000-plus jobs within two weeks
RIM's current chief Thorsten Heins has had to make some tough decisions in the first few months of his tenure - and he could be making some particularly difficult choices about trimming the rank and file within the next two weeks. Assuming we take the claims of several contacts for Canada's The Globe and Mail at face value, "at least" 2,000 jobs are being cut on or before June 1st. The numbers could climb higher at that: Reuters is bracing for as many as 6,000 layoffs, and has described an unhappy routine of "Goodbye Thursdays" where more recent hires are let go. RIM has turned down comment on what it calls "rumors and speculation," and we'd hope for the sake of those possibly affected that it's not true. Having said this, it's hard not to imagine Heins wanting to streamline the BlackBerry maker as much as possible to adapt to shrinking market share and keep the company afloat until BlackBerry 10 potentially spurs a revival.

Galbraith Mountain property put on the market | Local News | The ...

BELLINGHAM - A major portion of Galbraith Mountain, known in the community for its recreational uses such as mountain biking, is up for sale.

Polygon Financial has put 3,119 acres up for sale, marketing it as a "unique long-term asset" and touting its potential multiple uses, including recreation, timber extraction or even conservation, preserving it for future generations.

"It's a unique property with many different attributes for potential buyers," said Matthew Balkman of Turning Point Realty Advisors. Balkman is one of the listing agents for the property.

The appraised value of the property is just under $16 million and includes the market value of the timber and that 749 acres on the outer edges allow for some residential development. The majority of the property - 2,370 acres - is zoned commercial forestry, which doesn't allow for residential development.

Polygon became the owner of much of the property back in 2009 after Trillium Corporation deeded the property to it in lieu of foreclosure.

Located east of Bellingham, Galbraith is the common name for Lookout Mountain. The area is quite popular, particularly for mountain bike enthusiasts. It has about 44 miles of mountain biking trails, most of which were built and maintained by WHIMPs Mountain Bike Coalition.

Mark Peterson, president of WHIMPs, said it's a good sign that the initial marketing of the property touts the outdoor recreation potential.

"We want to continue to show that we are a benefit to a new owner," said Peterson.

The WHIMPs organization has been working with Janicki Logging & Construction, which has contracted to harvest wood for Polygon.

"They've been absolutely phenomenal to work with to help minimize the (harvest) impact on existing trails," Peterson said. "We've also had an outpouring from the community when it comes to help with the trails."

Along with the mountain bikers, Peterson said he's noticed an increase in other uses, including hikers and trail runners. The selective harvesting that's taken place has created some new views for hikers.

"More people are out exploring the area," Peterson said.

As for a potential buyer, Balkman said there are a variety of options, depending on what is valued by the investor. He thinks it would be someone that has a long-term outlook on the property, since developing much of it isn't available in the short term. As for the price, it's difficult to judge whether the appraised price will be the purchase price, because there are so few similar properties to compare it to.

"We'll see what the market will bear," Balkman said.

With the city of Bellingham dealing with tight budget issues, it wouldn't be a property officials would try to purchase outright, said Mayor Kelli Linville.

"We simply don't have that kind of money available," Linville said.

She would be open to the idea of partnering with another agency like Whatcom County, but only for the watershed aspects of the property.

Putting a levy measure on the ballot is another possibility, but Linville is reluctant to do that.

"I'm conservative about putting a levy on the ballot while we are dealing with a budget deficit," Linville said.

The city still needs to find a way to repay more than $3 million it borrowed from a fund to help buy Chuckanut Ridge property last year. Those 82 acres, also known as Fairhaven Highlands, cost $8.2 million.

CIA remembers those lost in covert operations

(AP) ? The CIA is remembering those lost in the hidden, often dangerous world of espionage, adding a new star to the intelligence agency's memorial wall and more than a dozen names to its hallowed Book of Honor.

The new star carved into the wall is for Jeffrey Patneau, a young officer killed in a car crash in Yemen in September 2008.

"Jeff proved that he had boundless talent, courage and innovativeness to offer to our country in its fight against terrorism," said CIA Director David Petraeus at a private ceremony at CIA headquarters this past week.

Petraeus' tribute was the first public identification of Patneau. The stars on the memorial wall at headquarters in Langley, Va., bear no names.

Yemen, the ancestral homeland of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, was the site of the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 American sailors. Patneau was part of the fight against militants in the country in a tense year in which the U.S. Embassy in Sanaa was attacked.

With the addition of the star for Patneau, the wall now commemorates the lives of 103 Americans who died in service of the CIA, "never for acclaim, always for country," Petraeus said at the annual event attended by hundreds of employees and family members of those lost. The rememberance came just days ahead of Memorial Day, when the nation remembers its military veterans and those who died in war.

The addition of 15 names to the CIA's Book of Honor means family members can openly acknowledge where their loved ones worked when they died.

Leslianne Shedd was lost when hijackers forced down her plane over the Indian Ocean, killing more than 125 people.

"Everybody who was on the plane with her who survived said she was not at all scared," her sister, Corinne Collie, told The Associated Press on Saturday. "She was saying it's all going to be okay, holding the hand of the person sitting next to her."

Collie says the agency approached her family a year ago, saying it was now possible to acknowledge her death ? likely meaning the cases she had worked on had been wrapped up, or staff she worked with had either retired or were no longer in harm's way. Collie said being able to share what her sister did has been a relief.

"To lose a sister and not be able to talk about the full picture of who she was has been hard," said Collie of Tacoma, Wash.

"The biggest relief is my parents ... get to acknowledge and brag about her, especially my dad," she said.

Like Shedd, most of those honored were killed in the clandestine war on terrorism, the list reading like a grim roll call of terrorist acts of the last three decades. Matthew Gannon was among the victims of the December 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Molly Hardy was killed in the August 1998 suicide bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi. She urged others to take cover as she was hit by the blast from an al-Qaida car bomb.

Jacqueline Van Landingham was killed in a terrorist attack in Pakistan in 1995. The CIA did not disclose how she died.

CIA officers face constant threat in Pakistan, hunting and hunted by the Taliban and al-Qaida. They often play a cat-and-mouse game with Pakistan's intelligence service, sometimes able to work with them and sometimes forced to work around them to gather intelligence on al-Qaida's militant diaspora. U.S. officials say it gets support from elements of the Pakistani government.

Five of those remembered were victims of the April 1983 suicide bombing of the U.S. embassy in Beirut that killed 63 people.

Among the CIA officers lost was Phyliss Nancy Faraci, "one of the last four Americans evacuated from the Mekong Delta when Saigon fell" during the Vietnam War, according to CIA spokesman Todd Ebitz. Faraci had volunteered to work in war-torn Beirut.

Deborah Hixon, a young officer fluent in French who volunteered for a temporary posting there, also died in the attack. Frank Johnston was a 25-year agency veteran who had accepted the assignment though he was close to retirement.

Paramilitary officer James Lewis, who had joined the CIA after his military career, and his wife, Monique Lewis, also were killed. Lewis was "only hours into her first day as an Agency officer when the bomber struck," Ebitz said.

mls cup amas 2011 black friday elliot elliot la galaxy la galaxy

Johnson has 1st-round lead at Colonial after 64

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) ? Zach Johnson stood behind the fourth green looking at his club and then the ball that rolled within 4 feet of the hole.

"I got lucky," Johnson said about his second shot on the 244-yard par 3 ? his 13th hole Thursday ? after his tee shot went through the green and stopped in a clump of grass.

Three holes later, Johnson was so deep in a greenside bunker that he couldn't even be seen from the other side of the green until he popped up to watch his blast over the ridge to 2 1/2 feet from the cup.

Those par-savers were part of a bogey-free 6-under 64 that gave him a one-stroke lead after the first round in the Colonial, where 20-30 mph wind with higher gusts whipped through the big oak trees lining the fairways.

"Today was great. I got off to a good start, just hit some quality shots. I didn't put myself ever in a position that was too worrisome," Johnson said. "I kept the golf course in front me. I attacked when I could attack. I had a couple of nice saves when I needed it. ... I've got zero complaints."

Jason Dufner, rookie Harris English, Tom Gillis and Kyle Reifers were tied for second.

Dufner won the Byron Nelson Championship last week, and both of his PGA Tour victories have come in the last four weeks. He started at Colonial with three consecutive birdies, was 5 under after a 10-foot birdie putt at the 174-yard eighth hole, then overcame two bogeys in a three-hole stretch.

Johnson opened with a 40-foot birdie putt at the 396-yard 10th hole on way to his 13th consecutive under-par round at Hogan's Alley. He set the Colonial tournament scoring record with his 21-under 259 in 2010, when he had a pair of 64s in his last PGA Tour victory.

After hitting into a greenside bunker at the 435-yard 12th, he blasted to 9 feet to save par.

"The big putt that got me going," he said. He then had four consecutive birdies, a span that included two par 3s and all the putts between 14-21 feet.

Sergio Garcia, the 2001 Colonial champ in the same group as Johnson, shot a 66 to match Chris DiMarco, Tommy Gainey and Andres Romero.

The 22-year-old English had never played a full round at Colonial until Thursday. That came three days after he shot rounds of 60 and 63 during a British Open qualifier at Gleneagles. That is a much more wide-open layout just outside of Dallas about an hour from Colonial.

"Three bogey-free rounds I have had in a row, which I've never done," English said. "I'm playing solid golf and not really getting out of position. I'm getting my putter going. I'm hitting it to 15 or 20 feet a lot and seemed to be making a good many of those. It's just been good."

English, a winner last year on the Nationwide Tour as an amateur, has made 11 of 14 cuts in his first season on the PGA Tour.

Johnson, the 2007 Masters champion, hasn't won since slipping on that winner's plaid jacket at Colonial two years ago. But he has made all 12 cuts this year, with a runner-up finish at Hilton Head and a tie for second at The Players Championship in his three previous events.

Garcia had an eagle-3 at the 558-yard No. 1, getting him to 5 under through 10 holes. His only bogey came after hitting his tee shot at the dogleg-left third hole into a greenside bunker, and he saved par out of bunkers his last two holes. He hasn't won on the PGA Tour in four years.

Defending Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial champion David Toms, in the group with Johnson and Garcia, had only one birdie in an opening 74. Last year, the 45-year-old Toms started with consecutive rounds of 62 to match the PGA Tour scoring record for the first 36 holes of a tournament.

Duner's approach at No. 9 was just off the back fringe, and he chipped to 6 feet before his par putt circled the cup without falling. A 25-foot birdie attempt at No. 10 rolled over the right edge of the cup, then he bogeyed the 635-yard 11th hole when his third shot went in a greenside bunker and he then two-putted from 9 feet.

Dufner was playing with Matt Kuchar, who two weeks ago won The Players Championship, and Rickie Fowler, The Players runner-up who the week before that got his first PGA Tour victory at Quail Hollow.

Kuchar's only birdie in a round of 72 came on the par-5 No. 1. Fowler birdied two of the last three holes for a 68.

"Decent. Not good, not bad," Fowler said. "It's nice to make two birdies in the last three holes and get back under par and give me some momentum."

Divots: Masters runner-up Louis Oosthuizen shot 71, ending his round with an eagle by holing his approach from 117 yards at the par-4 18th. ... Ben Crane's round of 70 included six birdies, six bogeys and six pars. ... Hunter Mahan, the only other two-time winner this season besides Dufner, shot a 69 with three bogeys. ... Sean O'Hair withdrew because of a neck issue.

Movie Review: Men in Black 3 ? The Birth of Damnation

Movie Review: Men in Black?3

Back in the nineties, Will Smith is one of the coolest people on the planet. He stars in summer blockbusters and sells a gazillion of records. Fine. Singing about going to Miami might be the real reason Lebron James decided to take his talent somewhere else but the point is Mr. Smith WAS BIG ?back then. I remember the exact moment I felt he was going to be a special part of pop culture: him punching an alien in the hit flick Independence Day. One sucker-punch and I got hooked. So there is no reason to question the irrational fascination for Men in Black ? the Spielberg-Sonnenfeld collaboration catapulting Smith to superstardom. The personal preference for putting on a pair of sunnies despite the apparent signs of an impending rain is because of Men in Black. The continuing admiration for pugs is because of Men in Black. The inexplicable habit of ignoring the tropical heat to put on a black on black outfit is all Men in Black. And I still remember how to do the Men in Black jig: (1) bounce (2) slide (3) walk and (4) freeze.

Therefore there is no question I needed to see the third installment of the franchise. Since the second one is a little messed up, the expectations is set on a 50/100 scale. Surprise, surprise. It is not that bad. Not that awesome either but the setting is tipped to a 60-65/100 score.

Boris is the last of the murderous Bologdite alien race and is serving jail term in the Lunar Maximum Prison. After a successful prison-break, he sought to kill his nemesis K (Tommy Lee Jones) in 1969 in order to continue his plan of conquering Earth. It is all up to J (Smith) to intercept Boris and save the future of our planet and the future of his partner. But going back in time has its consequences, like realizing the hard truth of the past.

First off, the Jones-Smith team-up still has screen magic. The craggier and stonier K remains the perfect foil the brash loudmouth J. No one is craggier and stonier than the indefatigable Mr. Jones no one is a cooler brash loudmouth than the unflappable Mr. Smith. The crucial burden is placed upon the able shoulders of Josh Brolin as the ?younger K. Man, he does look like a younger Tommy Lee Jones, from the square jawline to his demeanor. Incredible casting choice. Brolin does a consistent fabulous job in supporting roles. He might not be remembered much in Milk as he was engulfed in the larger-than-life performance of Sean Penn but I remember him. He is such an incredible force in the film, it felt like he is switching an automatic button transforming from a pitiful, to hateful and to a pathetic character in seconds. As the new Men in Black Bureau chief, Emma Thompson as Agent O got the chance to demonstrate her comic brilliance. I just wished she was provided longer screen exposure. Aside from her enormous comedic talent, check out her gorgeous gorgeous hair.

The writers behind the film could not have picked a better decade to time travel. I confess harboring ?a certain fondness for the 1960s as seen in this blog post, but the decade is the great age of space. So what better time for aliens to plan inter-planetary invasion than when two of the most powerful nations on Earth are battling to get out of its atmosphere. We all know, the end of the decade features the culminating event of all the space research and undertaking, and the film put it to good use. Alongside scientific progress, the decade is also a monumental time for fashion and music. I still think it is the best era of mankind in terms of fashion and music so it would not hurt a bit if the filmmakers opted to highlight its achievements. Female Men in Black agents in little black dress and flipped hair-dos is all good but it looks inadequate considering the inconceivable opportunities the time-travel film mechanism provides. Same goes for the music. Of course, there is little to be desired in the song choices of K but J and O must have been more in tune with the times. So I just needed to see more of the decade but CAN YOU BLAME ME. No. Oh. Bill Hader as a famous art icon is genius.

Most time travelling fantasies are borne out of desire to see life in the past. Most time travel films are purposeful in nature. There is the need to correct the past in order to set the present for a better future. Men in Back 3 is in accordance with ?purposeful time-travelling ?but it also puts forth another reason for going back in time: TO UNDERSTAND THE TRUTHS OF THE PAST AND THEREFORE THE REALITIES OF THE PRESENT. That one honest scene made all the difference.
