As we all know, more and more people are getting into offline marketing. There are many people who find that offline marketing is much easier than affiliate marketing or marketing your own products online. I think we know that this can be a very lucrative business, but many of us don?t know how to get going in this business.
One thing I can tell you is that I have found that many local businesses are already getting calls every week from marketers stating ?I can get you on the first page of Google.? I believe the market for offline marketing may be more saturated than what has been advertised, but there is still an opportunity for new businesses to be launched to offline clients.
Here are a few ideas of offline businesses you can start for internet marketing:
1. Traditional Offline Marketing: This is your traditional model where you simply call on businesses and offer to get them on the first page of Google for the services they offer. Most internet marketers take this route when they get into offline marketing. I find that there are usually a few businesses in all of the major cities where people are offering these services. The package deals usually involve offering a business a few blog posts each month, a Twitter account, email marketing, Facebook account, website development, and a few other services. You can easily charge hundreds or thousands of dollars a month for these services.
2. Press Release Services: Under this business model, you contact local businesses to offer regular press release services to the business. You can charge hundreds of dollars per month to publish a few press releases each month to help promote the business and the services and products they offer.
3. Social Media Manager: Many companies recognize the importance of having a presence on social media sites. The problem is that most companies don?t know how to market on these sites. This is where we come in. We can offer social media marketing services to local businesses so that they do not have to worry about their marketing strategies on sites like Facebook and Twitter.
4. Google Places Marketer: Google keeps changing their format for these listings, so this role is changing rapidly. Up until recently, Google had the Google Maps listings where several businesses were listed together near the top of the search results. Google Places is now placing the top maps listings on page one of Google. The Google map scrolls down the right column of the web page with the top listings labeled on Google on the map with their corresponding letters. The algorithm has changed somewhat, but the general principles of SEO remain the same. This role is usually included as part of a larger package.
There are many other offline business opportunities you can start too. You could setup domains that rank in the search engines, and then sell advertising on the domain to offline businesses for a monthly fee.
